In 1949, Joseph Campbell wrote The Hero with a Thousand Faces, and codified the narrative pattern of The Hero's Journey. In 2020, we are breaking free from constraints of the mono-myth and boldly transitioning into the poly-mythic framework that is destined to dominate the 21st century.

The Procedural Hero's Journey is intended as a creative writing tool to assist one in developing a new mythic framework from which entirely new narrative patterns can emerge from.
